Please read:  Supplies: Feel free to bring in whatever supplies you are already familiar with! If you have no current supplies, there is no need to purchase extensive materials to begin, just a few basics: • Your choice of watercolor: tubes, dry color blocks, watercolor pencils, or inks. • You’ll need just a couple of brushes to begin: a 1-inch flat brush and a #9 round brush (you may choose other brushes if you are already accustomed to using them). • A natural sponge (available in little bags at Michaels for applying textures). • Watercolor paper (it should be at least 140-lb. paper or higher, and should be of various “textured” surfaces, or a watercolor pad). • A pencil to do a light sketch of the subject matter before you start painting. You can choose to work directly on your painting if you wish (it is up to you, but having a light pencil sketch allows you to have a “road map” as to what your completed painting should look like). • A basic, simple watercolor starter kit to have available until you wish to have more professional materials to work with as you progress.
