| Get your feet wet in this free, eight-week class designed to see if court reporting or captioning is the career for you! Students will be introduced to real-time stenographic machine shorthand writing used for court reporting to broadcast captioning transcriptions. Students will also learn about conflict-free writing, how to distinguish English homophones, and become familiar with the legal, medical, and technical terminology used in court proceedings. If successful, you may enroll in the in-depth court reporting classes SCC will offer in Fall 2019.
