Hands-On Ham Radio

Course is designed to help the newly licensed Technician or General Class Ham Radio operators get their station setup and on the air following the safety guidelines and practices.  The topics begin with setting up a basic station and antenna.  We will also discuss and demonstrate building and tuning antennas including putting coax connectors on feedlines.  The class also includes achieving operation Awards and setting up computerized logging like Logbook of the World and eQSL.  We also have a section on Emergency Communications including emergency power sources like generators, batteries, solar and more.  The latest Digital modes like C4FM, DMR, D-Star will be explained including building a code plugs.  The course will conclude with practical kit building of useful ham radio station accessories.
