The city of Alton, IL has long been known as one of the most haunted small towns in America, but this tour will delve even deeper into the hauntings around Alton as we explore areas along the Mississippi River. Join us for a haunted river cruise aboard the Hakuna Matata, Alton’s newest excursion boat, as we take a narrated boat tour of haunted sites on the river, to include Lover’s Leap, the Piasa Bird, Hop Hollow, Blue Pool, and Smallpox Island. Dinner, catered by My Just Desserts in Alton, will be served on the boat. After the boat docks, we will make our way to My Just Desserts for a slice of their famous pie. My Just Desserts is housed in a building that dates back to 1845. The evening ends in the second floor meeting room, reportedly teaming with ghostly presence. Bus will depart Alton to return to campus at 9:45pm, arriving around 10:30pm. A cash bar is available on the boat, but alcohol is not included in the tuition price.
