| Spend a full day exploring Arcola and Arthur, Illinois. Rich in history and Amish culture, this trip will give you a glimpse of what it would be like to live in a different world - a much simpler world. Travel to Doris's Kitchen in Arthur to tour an Amish home and have a delicious family-styled meal served in her home. After lunch, enjoy a buggy ride on the Yoder's third generation farm followed by a bus tour of the country. We will stop at a bulk food shop and a woodworking shop where you can watch woodworking in process and browse quilts, woodworking, food and more. We will stop at Rockome Gardens to see the beautiful gardens, built to keep original owner, Arthur Martin's employees busy during the Great Depression. A light snack will be provided on the bus on the return trip. Feel free to bring your camera but please respect the Amish people's desire to not be photographed. Last date to cancel 3/28.
