Learn the basics of MIG welding. This course will provide participants with a basic understanding of the MIG welding process and techniques. Learn the set up and operation of MIG equipment. Practical hands-on welding including “T” joints and “V” grooves on a variety of materials.
No prior welding experience required.
Items needed for class:
- Welding hood with #10 shade lens
- Welding hat or beanie
- Welding gloves
- Welding sleeves (leather) or a heavy jacket
- Steel-toed work boots (leather)
- Chipping hammer
- Safety glasses
- Pliers or vice grips
- Wire brush
- Half-round bastard file
