Discover the flavors of a region known for its food's freshness and diversity. Create international favorites and American classics, and delicious fusions of the two. This camp will offer your junior chef a valuable set of culinary techniques to move them along in their kitchen education. Knife skills, cooking meat to perfection (pan-roasted chicken), making flavorful pan sauces (classic chicken gravy), roasting vegetables (roasted potatoes + seasonal vegetables), blanching green vegetables ending with a chopped competition on the last day of camp with ingredients from a mystery basket. Ingredients from our garden will also be used. Class held at the Culinary and Agricultural Center in Dardenne Prairie.
