SCC Jazz Camp 2026

We are excited to bring you some of the country's top jazz educators and performers. This big band camp is designed for enthusiastic instrumental students, grades 7 and older, to learn more about jazz style, improvisation, and performance. The camp is open to middle school, high school, and college students, along with interested community members with at least one year of study on their instrument. We have updated our programming and look forward to an exciting week.

The week which runs from Sunday, June 7 through Friday, June 12 will include opportunities to work with professional musicians in a variety of settings such as:
  • Ear Training Classes
  • Improvisation Classes
  • Sectionals
  • Big Band Rehearsals
  • Lunch and Learn sessions with guests
  • Concerts with faculty band

Camp Details
  • June 7,2026 - 11:30 AM
  • June 8-12, 2026, from 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Details regarding preparation for the placement activities will be electronically sent to the email address used for registration. Students will need to bring their own instruments including amps and cymbals (no drums).
Fees and Tuition
  • Individual tuition is $475 (In order to receive a camp shirt please register before May 21, we may still have a shirt for you after that day, but we cannot guarantee the correct size)
  • Early Bird tuition is $425 and is good until February 28, 2026.
  • Group rates are available please contact communityeducation@stchas.edu.
Scholarships
A limited number of partial scholarships are available based on financial need.
Facilities
All events are on campus at St. Charles Community College.
