In this hands-on class, you'll explore the world of color photography and learn how to use color to enhance your storytelling and visual impact. Whether you're new to photography or looking to refine your skills, this course will guide you through the basics of working with color in your compositions, from understanding color theory to gaining knowledge of compositional elements to help you improve your photographs. By the end of the course, you’ll have the tools and knowledge to elevate your color photography and express your unique creative vision through vibrant, dynamic images.
During the course, there will be photo-sharing time with the class and at least one local field trip to practice skills learned in the classroom.
Prerequisite: Students need to understand camera functions and terminology. Bring a camera and fully charged battery to class.
