Costume Construction Studio allows students to explore the artistry and craftsmanship behind theatrical costume construction. Designed for students ready to develop sewing and construction techniques, this course covers basic pattern reading, garment assembly, alterations, fabric selection, finishing methods, and costume shop best practices using both hand and machine sewing. Students will complete a wearable project to add to their own wardrobe while also constructing costume elements that will be featured in a YPT production, gaining real-world experience in the collaborative process of bringing costumes to life!
